[Senyuu Chapter 4] Last Episode
Senyuu trended for a while on Twitter after the chapter was released, heheh.
Hey everyone, thank you very much for reading our releases. We did the chapter as fast as we could last night as soon as it came out, and the translation was actually finished then, so it was just some checking we had left to do. Please thank your super hard-working typesetters throughout Senyuu, Kuru and Will, and your other translator/QC, Gates! They’ve worked really hard.
On another note, Will and I (Spring, and it was mostly me actually haha) made a chatroom for talking about Senyuu and just asking us some questions in general on IRC (Internet Relay Chat). If you’re already savvy with IRC, we’re on the Esper server and the channel name is #senyuuhell.

[Senyuu Chapter 4] Episode 16
I wish I’d started doing this earlier, but better late than never, I guess! After you read the translation, I highly advise you go to Nicovideo Seiga and watch the raw while you can (aka within a week - after that, you have to pay to watch it), because it’s just not the same without the music, timing, and sound effects. This week’s chapter in particular though, all of those were really effective!

Tiny little additional translator’s note: in Elf’s original line of “Yer pullin’ yer punches”, what he literally says is “Your attacks are too soft”, but the word “soft” he uses has the additional meaning of “kind”. Fitting for Alba, don’t you think?

Sorry for the delay! Nothing major, everyone’s just been busy.
On another note, we’re looking for someone to be a backup typesetter! Chances are that you wouldn’t have too much to do most of the time (or you could work in collaboration with the current typesetter, maybe), but… well, like I said, it’s just a back up we need in case of unavoidable circumstances.

[Senyuu Chapter 4] Episode 11
TN: All the way since Chapter 1 to Chapter 3 (whatever Alba and Shion are doing right now), Ross has always called Alba “Hero-san”, although we’ve dropped the honorific in our translations since it sounded smoother without. It’s interesting to note though, that in this update Alba calls him “Soldier-san” at first (we also dropped the honorific), but after Ross snarks about it a bit, Alba just says “Soldier”, the same way we’re familiar with in Chapter 1. If you know a bit about the connotations of dropping honorifics, the sense of distance between them is pretty significant.
…tl;dr, Ross always says “Hero-san” even after he and Alba have become friends, and Alba called Ross “Soldier-san” at first, then just “Soldier” (and of course now only uses Ross/Shion’s name).

A couple of quick announcements before the link to the chapter. Feel free to skip, but we’d appreciate it if you read it…
First, undoubtedly there are many people who watch the raw online when it’s posted. It’s not hard to find, it’s online at the same time, same place every week. In fact, I’ll even put a link to it right here. I can’t speak for everyone, but Kuru and I are pretty frustrated when people post pictures of the raws in the tag. We don’t have a problem with people posting the raws at all (like I said, anyone can find them), but we do have a problem with the raws being posted without tags or not being put under a read more, especially when the last panel is a big revelation like this chapter had. Please don’t spoil the people who would prefer to wait for a full translation and the surprise by only posting the panels in question. At the very least, tag spoiler pictures or use read mores, please.
On another topic, this one concerns groups using our translations and re-translating Senyuu into different languages. We’re really happy that some of you are re-translating this series and therefore making it more accessible for people, but please, guys, it’s not hard to keep our credit page in, okay? Of course, mentioning “BattleBrave” seems enough, but all I ask is just, keep our credits page, okay? okay?? cuz different people have worked on this thing, and I’d like you to not shrug off their roles by removing the credit page! (Trust me, this thing is easy to scanlate, but that doesn’t mean it’s not taking our time).
